The black frame was the talk of the EuroBike 2012 show in Friedrichshafen, Germany. Visitors liked the matte black finish, with gloss black panels. The paint matched the carbon fork and other Easton parts.
How about a paint job on a World Championship Downhill racer? I sprayed the matte finish on Greg Minnaar's frame, for the Santa Cruz Bicycles Syndicate Team.
Eli Atkins is a special guy; the head designer for Giro/Easton Bell. He redesigned the Rock Lobster logos for his frame, which were stenciled on. He also re-did the small logos, along with having several punk rock stickers made up. The frame was double clear coated, being sanded completely flush inbetween. Cool!
Lee McManus was my best friend in High School. He wanted his 1986 Peugeot PX-10, which he had purchased new, redone last year. He added a carbon fork, extra decals, and a sparkly 2012 Ford Candy Blue color. A graphics reproduction of the prancing lion logo was stenciled on the fork. Voilą!
